The Music Box
Music and Drama for Tots to Teens
The Music Box is now in it's 12th year.
We offer music and drama workshops to children aged 3 to 18+ years.
We also travel to schools, nurseries and toddler groups
with a lively mix of singing, listening and percussion activities.

The Music and Drama class performed "Oliva" by Malcolm Sircom in June.This was our first full length musical drama and the young actors rose to the challenge putting on an excellent show without a single extra rehearsal!

The Primary Music class had a busy term culminating in the performance of a mini-musical "Alice, the Musical" by Mark and Helen Johnston.

Next term sees a new format for the Primary Music Class with a 45 minute Music Games class followed by a 45 minute Music Projects class. Boys and girls are welcome to come to either class or both!
Our Pre-school Music class had fun last term with some musical stories including Goldilocks and the Three Bears with music from Eric Coates and some fun on the beach with music from Antonio Vivaldi.

Once again, The Music Box Summer Drama Project was a great success with 37 children and young people participating in two fun-packed exciting weeks, each culminating in a public performance of a musical drama at the Stewarton Area Centre.

Plans are now underway for next year's project. Junior Drama Week will run from Monday 18th to Friday 22 July and Senior Drama Week from Monday 25 to Friday 29 July with a second performance on Saturday 30 July. Check back nearer the time for more details.

'The Farmyard's Got Talent'
|
The fourth Arty and the Monkey Tales production took place in August this year.
This year's project 'The Farmyard's got Talent' ran for two consecutive weeks at the end of the summer holidays and once again saw children aged between 3 and 8 years working on songs, dances and learning lines with Naomi from The Music Box and working on props and scenery with Gills from Arty's.
