The Music Box is moving. From next Friday, September 03, The Music Box workshops will take place at The Stewarton Area Centre.

Now in its 12th year, The Music Box runs a range of music and drama workshops for children from 3 years to teens.

The Music Box class times will remain the same. The Pre-school Class, for boys and girls aged 3 and up, runs from 2.30pm to 3.15pm. The class includes a fun mix of singing games, listening activities involving drama or dance and percussion projects.

Primary Music - Games runs from 3.30pm to 4.15pm and is also a fun mix of singing, listening and percussion activities. Primary Music - Projects runs from 4.15pm to 5.00pm. This group works with projects for public performance including choral singing, composition and musical drama. Both Primary Music classes are suitable for children of primary age and children can choose to join either or both classes.

The Music and Drama group for young people aged 10 and up runs from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Activities include singing and dancing, drama games and improvisation, devised plays and stage productions. The group performs three stage productions each year in December, March and June. Members of this group are also invited to be part of The Music Box Production Committee where they can find out about the back-stage work that goes in to producing a play or musical.
