One morning last week a former pupil of Stewarton Academy appeared on the BBC1 Breakfast Show.

Christopher I'Anson appeared to publicise the Central Band of the RAF. He apppeared on the sofa alongside a senior officer to publicise their new CD which is coming out to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Reach For The Skies by RAF Central Band is due to be released on 27 September, priced £8.95. If you visit the Amazon website there is info about the CD and on the video clip in the bottom right you can see the band in action and there is a brief quote from Corporal Chris I'Anson (percussionist) - he was the star turn at Mr Durno's Xmas concerts on the xylophone some years ago.
