Tea-time on Friday 11 June and Stewarton's Avenue Square saw a gathering of young men and women from Stewarton Academy dressed in their finest ready to enjoy their prom.

The youngsters from 5th and 6th year, many of them leaving school this year, were celebrating the end of their Highers with a traditional dinner dance in Troon.

Friends and family gathered to see them off and to enjoy the spectacle of fine dresses and kilts. And you can see some of their photos here in our Stewarton Academy Prom 2010 photo album.
