The Prize Giving for the 2009 Stewarton Art Competition took place on Saturday 5 December at Penney Lane Studios, Avenue Street, Stewarton.

The competition was conceived and organised by Jean Paterson of Stewarton.com and talented local artist Linette Penney. Entries were received in three age group categories, 4-7, 8-11 and 12-16. Prizes included fabulous art packs and vouchers and the winning entry in each category was framed by Annick Art.

The prize winners are pictured here with Linette and Jean (who presented the prizes) and Keith Gainham who designed the Art Competition posters and helped publicise the event.

The competition entries will remain on display until after the Yuletide Festival. You can view the framed first prize winners at Annick Art, Lainshaw Street, between Thursday 10th and Saturday 12th December. All other entries are already on display at Penney Lane Studios, Avenue Street.
