An extra in-service day has been added to the school calendar this term, just after the May holiday weekend.

This in-service day is intended to better prepare schools to plan for the assessment requirements necessary for the effective delivery of A Curriculum for Excellence.

Schools will be closed for pupils on Friday 28 and Monday 31 May and Tuesday 01 June.

Schools open again on Wednesday 02 June.

Pupils in 4th, 5th and 6th year currently sitting Standard Grade and Higher exams may need to attend during this holiday weekend =(

This includes pupils sitting the following exams:

Friday 28: Higher and Advanced Higher Music and all levels of physics

Monday 31: Intermediate 1 and 2, Higher and Advanced Higher Geography and RMPS

Tuesday 01 June: Intermediate 1 and 2 and Higher PE.
