'Perseus and the Gorgon's Head'

"Perseus and the Gorgon's Head," a comedy by Geoff Bamber, retells the infamous story of the Gorgon Medusa (Ashley Snaddon) and her demise at the hands of our hero, Perseus (Rebecca Welsh). Along the way we come across not one but two Evil Kings, a Humble Fisherman and a Window Cleaner (Shannon Gilchrist, Sarah Allison, Chloe Hume and Nathanael Kelly). And in true Greek mythology style our story ends happily for our hero and heroines Danae and Andromeda (Jennifer Abercrombe and Lorna Smith).

Our hero is helped along his way by the gods Hades, Athena and Hermes, and by the Winged Messenger, the Oracle and the three Graeae Sisters (Nathanael Kelly, Lorna Smith, Ross Davidson, Matthew Allison, Natasha Allen, Christina Ritchie and Iona McLeod).

And the audience is sure to understand what's going on as the Narrator (Lois Wright) helps out with her comic commentary.

The evening will also include an extract from The Music Box forthcoming musical production "Olivia!" by Malcolm Sircom, which is scheduled to be performed on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 June at the Stewarton Area Centre.

Afterwards the audience are invited to stay a while to enjoy some refreshments and meet the cast.
