Yuletide Festival - 10 Dec 2009
Stewarton's popular Yuletide Festival will again run this year on the evening of Thursday 10 December.
The night begins around 5:30pm with shops staying open until about 9pm and of course Santa will be making an appearance his grotto this year will be at the empty shop on Main Street (formerly Lammond's the Baker). There will be carol-singing, face-painting, raffles, and the ever-popular odd-man-out competition.
The Bonnet FM stage will be at the top of Avenue Square and a marquee for carol singing at the bottom. The fire engine will also be at the bottom of the Square. Other things to look out for include two brass bands, a samba band and a barbers quintet. And there will be hot dogs, burgers and soup.
Car parking will be available at Sainsbury's at the back of the Fire Station. A Youth Express Bus will also be in operation.

Angela and Natale's - Drinks and Nibbles
Angela and Natale's Hairdressing Salon, 33a High Street, will be serving free drinks and nibbles.
Annick Art - Stewarton Art Competition Exhibition + Wine and free gifts
Annick Art, 21 Lainshaw Street, will be displaying the winning entries for the 2009 Stewarton Art Competition. They are also offering customers a glass of wine and a small gift of notepad & pencil for the first 30 or so kids. In addition, local artist, Victoria J. Cooper hopes to be at the shop at sometime on the 10th. Her work is on display in Annick Art's gallery throughout December.
Boots - Fiddle Music
Boots, 8 Main Street, will have Fiddle Music
Brown Street Barbers - Mince Pies
Brown Street Barbers, 7 Brown Street, will be serving mince pies all day but will not be opening late.
Deli On The Corner - Mulled Cordial and Mince Pies
Deli On The Corner, 1/5 Main Street, will be serving mulled cordial (non-alcholic) and mince pies.
Hairstop - Nail Painting
Hairstop hairdressing salon, 7B Avenue Square, will be painting nails.
John Knox Parish Church - Nativity Musical
'Baboushka' is the traditional tale of the Russian woman who hears the news of Jesus' birth but at first refuses to listen. A great mix of modern characters plus all the traditional nativity elements. Fun for the whole family and its free! Performances at 7pm and 8pm.
Lime Tree - Bubbly and Chocolates
Lime Tree, gift shop, 13 Lainshaw Street, will be serving bubbly and chocolates. They also have great offers on a range of Christmas gifts including from Truth Charms, Pilgrim and Tutti & Co Jewellery, Beautiful bags and accessories from Bagsac and Tula, Arran Aromatics, a wide range of Children’s gifts and toys and much more……
Lovely - Drinks and Nibbles
Lovely, gift shop, 31 Main Street, will be serving drinks and nibbles.
Penney Lane Studios - Art Competition Exhibition
Penney Lane Studios, Unit 9, 17 Avenue Street (next to Bespoke Furtniture and Beaver Printing) will be exhibiting the competition entries for the 2009 Stewarton Art Competition.
Sweet Moments - Raffle, Wine and Nibbles
Sweet Moments, Cards and gifts, 5 High Street, will be holding a free raffle for a me-to-you bear worth £35.00. They will also be serving free wine and nibbles.
